Receive support for teaching an NGSS aligned phenomena based 1st grade Life Science Biomimicry Unit developed by the Beaverton School District. The session builds capacity for instructing the 1st Grade NGSS Life Science unit by going through the unit instructional intent, the effective teaching strategies, and the actual activities for the unit with low-cost materials.


Session presented by the Beaverton Elementary Science Specialist and district 1st grade teachers who have already started implementing the unit in their classrooms. Discussions on how to support all students meeting all the unit standards and targets. Complete unit overview and individual lessons shared. Do the science/engineering design and increase capacity to teach the unit!


This event is free and open to everyone, OSTA Member or not.
