Submit Articles to TOST

The main purpose of The Oregon Science Teacher (TOST) is to provide a forum for its members to share information, resources and ideas. The content reflects the needs of classroom teachers, science supervisors and administrators, teacher educators, pre-service teachers and informal educators.

Publishing in TOST is your opportunity to make a significant contribution to the science program at your level or area of practice.

Are you interested in submitting an article? Please email TOST@oregonscience.org with any questions or possible submissions. Please format with Arial, size 12 font, and include your name, position, school district, and contact information. Photos or logos should be attached as a JPEG or PNG. Any photos that include students require a signed release form on file.

Submit A Local Oregon Phenomenon

Anchoring phenomena can be any observable event that prompts students to ask questions. Choosing local, relevant phenomena can increase access for ALL students to the science and engineering concepts involved, because students are examining an event they are already familiar with and curious about. To learn more, visit Phenomena for NGSS.

What relevant, engaging phenomena have you been exploring with your students? Please email TOST@oregonscience.org with any questions or possible submissions. Please format with Arial, size 12 font, and include your name, position, school district, and contact information. Photos or logos should be attached as a JPEG or PNG. Any photos that include students require a signed release form on file.
