Join OSTA President Bradford Hill and OSTA Region 1 Director Jomae Sica for an "Unconference" centered around topics in chemistry and physics.
An unconference is an informal conference where teachers show up and brainstorm sessions at the beginning of the conference around professional development ideas that they are wanting to learn more about. We know that you are all doing great things in your classroom and this is a great way to share, collaborate and to get the PD that you want and feel that will be most helpful.
You may facilitate a session or attend others that are going on. Some ideas that are popular right now are implementing technology in the classroom, formative and summative assessments, POGILs, assessment using rubrics, and getting students to argue from evidence. Others may and should be suggested by the participants.
Participants will meet in the lobby of the Beaverton Health and Science School, then break out into rooms based on interests. Please post your interests to this padlet.
