Join us for this webinar in which we will explore ideas on how to build innovative science lessons using the power of GSuite tools. We will participate in examples of how you can use forms, sheets, docs, slides, add-ons to build collaborative lessons with your students. With many schools starting school this year with distant learning, it will be so important to keep your students engaged in science projects while working remotely.

In this webinar we will participate in a remote, collaborative activity that will demonstrate the power of using GSuite tools with your students. We will then collaborate and brainstorm how to develop your own lessons. Tim is available to help you after the webinar to build out your ideas that can then be shared with your science teacher cohorts.

Presenter: Tim Welch has been an educator for the past 30 years. He began his career as a bilingual instructor teaching 3rd grade at Greenwood Elementary School in La Grande, Oregon for nine years. In 1995 he had the opportunity to work with Eastern Oregon University on an NSF grant which developed a program for K-12 teachers to help improve science instruction. Tim had been the IT/Network Director for La Grande Public Schools, (retired July 2016). In this position, Tim managed the complete IT infrastructure and Instructional Technology development for the district. In 2012, LGSD migrated to GAFE, Google APPS for Education, now known as GSuite. In this capacity, Tim had been responsible for developing and providing all training for staff and students in the use of the GSuite environment. Tim is a Google Certified Trainer since 2011. For the past eight years, Tim has also been an adjunct faculty at EOU, teaching CS335, an Introduction to Computer Networks, for the Computer Science Department.
