Everyone loves a good read and students love to be read too! Do you read science trade books to students in your classroom? This webinar will introduce you to the latest published science trade books and their use in K-12 classrooms. The Outstanding Science Trade Books is an annual list of the best science books nominated by the Children’s Book Council. The NSTA member panel reviews and selects the award winners from those nominations.
Sarah Carlson, NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Books panel member, Mentor Teacher for the North Central ESD, and OSTA Region 5 Director, will present recent ideas and research on reading in the science classroom. Join her as she discusses the selection process, her favorites, and links to resources for reading and using science trade books in K-12 classrooms.
If you are a K-12 classroom teacher, librarian, counselor, or administrator with an interest in sharing a good science book with students, this webinar is for you.
1 PDU will be provided for attending, contingent upon completing an exit survey.
