As educators, we know that writing is one way to make student thinking visible. Ever wonder how you could integrate writing into science at the different grade levels?
Join us for three concurrent workshops where you will learn how to incorporate writing in science into your curriculum in a variety of ways from classroom teachers who are doing just that. The workshops are set up to accommodate teachers of kindergarten through third grades, fourth through seventh grades, and eighth through twelfth grades.

After the workshops, we will have Sam Kean, in person, talk about his successful writing career and books he’s written. Bring your favorite book to have him sign.
After the event, join Sam and your OSTA Region 5, 6, and 7 directors at Side A Brewing for a no host networking event. Side A Brewing is a local gastro pub brewery with great food, local brews, cider, and wine available for you to purchase.
